A multitude of emotions are addressed from both angles, proving that although women are usually more driven by their feelings, men can be just as affected when love is involved. This project was such an engaging read that I am anticipating Ms. Barnes' new release.

This was the first book that i have read by this author, i read this book a while ago, but just getting around to the review. Since then i have read all her books that came out. I loved this book you haave to read to find out that just because things looks good doesnt mean they are always gonna be good.
Clarisse thought she had the perfect life and career. Little did she know, all of that will come crumbling down. Deception and emotions play a major role in this novel and at the end, does anyone really win? NO! It ain't over until it's over. This is my first time reading anything by this author and I look forward to more. This is definnitely a ***5 star read***
This was a great book to start my reading frenzy after a two year readers block. This book held me page after page. Love and drama makes for a great read. I totally recommend this book to anyone looking for excitement Mika Barnes gives you just that.
Lies from the beginning, if you hiding something it's always best to tell it yourself than have someone else spill it - David was weak for not telling the truth and Charisse got a wake up call, I loved the story and was glad that in the end she saw what was/who was most important. His brother was hilarious and I was glad he had a change of heart towards love also. I look forward to more work from Mika!!!!

Love, obsession and an action packed page turner is what you will experience when you read Chocolate High.
Charisse has everything. She has a fabulous job, shape and personality that she could have any man. She has her sights set on one. We wonder how far one goes.
How far do you go to fight for love? The in deft characterization that Mika gives us makes the reader feel that not only do you know characters like this, but they are your friends. The quick witted, steamy scenes will keep you wanting more. Don’t forget to check out her other books Carmel Addiction, and The book 3 (Three.)
I give this book 4 out of 5 Sapphires.
This story is about Charisse and David. They have been in a relationship for three years when a horrible secret is revealed. Stacy, David's ex, comes back into their lives to wreck havoc and stir up the drama. Will she be successful in destroying Charisse and David's relationship or will love conquer all?
This was my first read by this author and she told a good story. I had moments of anger, sadness, and happiness. There were a few editing issues that was hard to overlook. Also, there were areas in the book where the reader was not made aware that a different character was telling the story. I will be reading the next book in the series.
Chocolate High is a wonderfully spun tale of love, lies & just plain crazy! Tamika's characters are people we all know or may actually be a little bit of yourself. We have all planned out the perfect life when we were young and it usually included our first true love. Unfortunately, sometimes things don't go as planned and Tamika shows us how the road to "Happily Ever After" can turn into a dead end. Her words made you feel all the pain and confusion the main character Charisse was battling throughout the entire story and painted the perfect picture of love gone wrong at the same time. I can't wait to continue enjoying Tamika's work in her next novel, Caramel Addiction, great job!
